After working in resort hotels around the Northeast it was time to settle down and raise a family.  I found myself home with a baby and in need of a “stay at home mom job”. My sister owned an antique shop close by and she was in need of scented candles in her shop.  After a lesson from a candle making cousin I put my culinary arts and 4-H background to the test.  I began going to yard sales, flea markets and estate sales to find old canning jars.  During my search I found antiques similar to what my sister Cindy was selling in her shop.  I began buying old primitive boxes along with the canning jars.  A few test pours, a few antiques sold, and I was up and running!  The Primitive Box began. To this day I still love those old boxes plus the candles smell amazing!

Candles are hand poured using soy wax.  Made in the USA.
